Story
The Brazilian Association of Railway Preservation - ABPF was founded in 1977 by Frenchman Patrick Henri Ferdinand Dollinger, and brings together interested in preserving and disseminating the history of Brazilian railroad. Fond of steam locomotives and railways, Patrick arrived in Brazil in 1966 and concerned with the abandonment of the Brazilian railway history, decided to create an entity preservation, along the lines of those in Europe and the United States. With headquarters in the city of Campinas, the ABPF is composed of a National Board and Regional Divisions and Centers, throughout the country.
