Story
From the MRSR-magazine: To counter the drop in demand of geared logging locomotives, Lima designed an improved three-truck Shay model called the Pacific Coast Shay. Of this type only 24 were constructed between 1927 and 1940. The engine was ordered by the Forest Lumber Company of Pine Ridge. In 1941 it was purchased by the Pickering Lumber Corporation to become their #11. After 23 years of service it was sold to Tom Irion who moved it to the Bay Area Electric Railroad Museum. After some changes of ownership the engine was turned to operable condition in 1993 by the volunteers of the Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad.
